Festive Makeup Looks using Artistry Studio
I think if you've been following me for a while now, you'll know I prefer the 'less is more' look when it comes to makeup. I absolutely love makeup and it's nothing to do with taking up too much time, it's just I prefer subtle looks.
Over the past 2 weeks I've been trying out a new makeup brand which is definitely up my street. It's called Artistry Studio and you can buy it here.
One thing I absolutely adore about this brand is that their current collection is inspired by NYC. I'm not going to lie I'm slightly obsessed with this city so you can imagine how eager I was to try everything out.
I experiment with makeup all the time and always try something different looks at the weekends but I find Winter is a time where I become a little bit more adventurous when it comes to beauty.
Here's some simple looks I created using Artistry Studio.
1. Bold Red Lip
Now it wouldn't be Christmas without a bold red lip. I think it's such a classic look, not to mention so effortless. I usually choose either a bold lip or dramatic eyes but never both.
This is called 'Red apple red' and I think it's the perfect red for Christmas time.
2. Pretty Pink!
I think this is the first time I've ever worn a vibrant pink lip and I really like it. I think it's such a statement colour which means less work on the eyes. I love the warm coral tone from this one and it's also a balm which is ideal for winter time.
3. Shimmery Eyes & Face
I'm definitely not a pro when it comes to doing makeup and I find eyes the hardest part of all. My everyday look is normally quite simple using neutral tones and always a healthy amount of highlighter in the tear duct and face.
On days when I'm really lazy and don't want to bother with too much makeup I put eyeliner on and highlighter in my tear duct with lots of mascara, so simple and quick.
I'm wearing the illuminating power on my eyes and face in all the pictures of me.
4. Lashes!
When it comes to mascara I am very picky. I've tried quite a few mascaras and more better than others. Mascara is probably the one thing I like to go a bit overboard on so it has to give me great volume.
Out of all the products I've tried from the collection, the mascara was the most impressive. This multi-tasking mascara has an adjustable wand which adds volume, lifts, and separates lashes with a single twist! You can use the elongated position to add volume, twist to the shorter position to lift lashes, and use the mohawk side of the brush to separate. Literally the best mascara if you love a full lash look.
5. Blue Eyes
I've always had a thing for blue eyeliner. I remember when I younger, it was one of the first makeup products I bought.
I've always thought when using blue on my eyes that a little goes a long way. I'm all for a dramatic blue eye for a night out but during the day I like to keep it simple.
If you're looking for a shade to make your eyes pop this Christmas I would definitely recommend this teal eye pencil.
Well I hope you enjoyed this blog post and hopefully you found some inspiration for some Christmas makeup looks. I'm still experimenting with these new products to keep an eye on my Instagram page for more looks.
I hope everyone is enjoying the lead up to Christmas, I'm loving every minute and counting down the days to go home to Tramore.
Besos,
Zoe Elizabeth
