3 Restaurants You Need to Try in NYC!

1. NOBU

195 Broadway, New York, NY 10007

This has been at the top of my 'Foodie Bucket List' for far too long so I knew I had to go when I was in New York. It can be a pricey place to dine in so I did my research.

Nobu Downtown, NY offer a lunch Prix Fixe for only $35 and it's definitely worth it! The meal was incredible. My favourite was definitely the Tuna Sashimi Salad which we had for starter.

Saoirse thought it would be a great idea to get lychee martinis (she got it mixed up with pornstar martinis) and this was the only downfall of the meal, lets just say neither of us are a fan of lychee. If you've never had lychee before, don't risk it. But yes, I still drank it.

2. JACKS WIFE FRIEDA

224 Lafayette St, New York, NY 10012

So many of you recommended this spot so thank you!

Jacks Wife Frieda is definitely your typical Soho brunch spot. I loved the area, there are so many amazing stores and random exhibitions, it's definitely somewhere you need to explore for the day.

Anyway, back to the food, I ordered the Mediterranean Breakfast. After a good few days of fried food it was nice to have something that tasted home-cooked and healthy (minus the enormous portion of fries). The style of food is American-Mediterranean and prices are reasonable. I wish I had gone for the Rosewater Waffles but I needed something fresh so I'll just have to go back and try the waffles another time.

Make sure you get there early or make a reservation because you'll be standing outside in a queue for a good half hour!

Mediterranean Breakfast - 2 poached eggs, chopped salad, labne, avocado and pita bread

3. TAO

42 E 58th St, New York, NY 10022

What can I say? This was hands down my favourite night in New York. This was all down to the great food and incredible atmosphere.

The menu has so much to offer so we just got loads of bits to share with lots of bubbles. You NEED to try the tuna tartar.

I was expecting it to be crazy expensive but it was no more than the average meal in Dublin.

I would highly recommend coming here if you're going on a night out. We came on a Thursday night and it was packed so be sure to make a reservation.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post!
