A Cronut for Every Month! - London
When I was planning for London I made a list of places I wanted to visit, like always when I travel. After a while of digging online and trying to find a place that isn’t over photographed I found a recommendation for this award winning bakery, Dominique Ansel Bakery.
I decided to visit after a morning of strolling around Chelsea, it was very easy to find and just a minute past Peggy Porchen. As much as I ADORE Peggy Porchen, I thought it was mad to see a queue of people waiting for a table there and only a few seconds down the road you have this outstanding bakery.
You can’t miss this cafe, from the outside you will see an arch of multicolour spring flowers and the same outside in their petite garden. The interior is very minimal and spacious, I wish I brought my laptop so I could sit there all day and eat cronuts.
They create one flavour cronut which is dedicated to each month. The lady who served me said this months cronut is her favourite so far and although it was my first time I don’t think I will ever get a cronut that good again. The flavour for this month is passion fruit toasted coconut, filled with homemade passion fruit jam and toasted coconut ganache, need I say more?
If cronuts aren’t your thing you’ll definitely find something else to take your fancy. The bakery offers an endless menu of sweet treats including macaroons, pastries, creamy cakes, the most beautiful desserts that look almost too good to eat...almost.
TO EAT - I highly recommend trying their cronut of the month but try and go before the end of March if you’re visiting London, I promise you’ll thank me later.
I hope you're all having a lovely bank holiday weekend!!
Beso,
Zoë Elizabeth
