The Most Fashionable Restaurant in Madrid
As some of you may know, I lived in Madrid for 2 years when I was studying. One of my favourite things to do whilst living there was discovering new places to eat or really just eating. I have endless lists of places to eat in Madrid but this time when I visited I wanted to try somewhere new and La Perrachica was top of my list.
La Perrachica is part of a group of restaurants I'm already a huge fan of so I knew I would love it. It is, by far, the most aesthetically pleasing restaurant I've ever been to and the food is to die for.
There was so much I wanted from the menu so I decided to get a few dishes to share, here's a list of my recommendations:
Wine:
Marieta white wine - one of my favourite wines, this is the wine I had at my graduation meal.
Food:
- Truffled omelette with potato foam
- Aubergine tempura with molasses & hummus - my favourite dish!!
- Garlic prawn tacos, with peperoncino and chipotle mayonnaise
- Mussels in green curry sauce, coconut milk, fresh cilantro and lime - insanely good too!
I came here for lunch and it was absolutely packed so if you ever decide to go here definitely make a reservation.
You're probably wondering about the prices? To our surprise it was actually very reasonable, I think it was just under 70 euro for everything, not bad.
I wish I had more pictures of the inside as every section is styled completely different. The area we sat in was very unique with shelves of books and photo frames.
The entrance is the piece that stole my heart. How could you not fall in love with an entrance like this?
I always get asked for recommendations in Madrid and this should definitely be at the top of your list.
For more on Madrid you can watch everything we got up to in my vlog here.
That's all from me for now, I hope you like this post!
