LONDON: THE EDIT
Usually I find packing the most difficult task ever. I always bring far too much so this time I decided to do the opposite. Basically I brought the bare minimum ...which ended up with some emergency shopping (I swear I didn't plan that).
I haven't gone to London since I was 16, yes 7 years ago. So you can imagine I had almost forgotten what london was like. I thought London was completely inspiring. It makes you feel like you can have anything in the world if you work for it.
Anyway I'm not going to ramble on about what we did because you can see everything in my vlog - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-aIqpJGLMY
What I wanted to do for a blog post was show you my outfits from the weekend. Plus I feel a bit guilty that I've been cheating on my blog with vlogging.
DAY 1: DAYTIME
Classic monochrome, one of my fav combinations. The only regret I had was wearing heeled boots, my feet were in bits by the end of the day. Rule no.1 - always wear comfortable shoes when exploring a city ladies!!
I adore this textured top, which I stole from saoirse (thank you!!). I only brought one jacket for the whole weekend, which I stole from evan ...I wear it more than him so it's basically mine now anyway.
My bag is Louis Vuitton, as much as I adore this bag with all my heart, it's definitely not the bag for trekking around a city. I had to learn a lesson the hard way - cross body bags are the only way when it comes to travelling around a bag city.
DAY 1: NIGHTTIME
After a hectic day of shopping, eating and drinking we came home to recharge the batteries (with more champagne) and freshen up. I bought this dress a few weeks ago in Zara. I was hoping for warmer weather so before we headed out I had to change into skinny jeans and a body suit.
I'll definitely be bringing this dress back out again for the summer and styling it with sandals and excessive accessories to give it the pocahauntis look it deserves.
The tan I wore (the tan I always wear) is Bellamianta. It's my favourite tan because it gives you a bronzy glow rather than an orange tone. I put it on Thursday night, the day before my flight and it lasted the whole weekend. Oh! and it's reasonably priced, I think I paid 20 euro for a bottle, which has lasted for months now.
DAY 2
A day that should have been for pjs and bed.
Safe to say we all had sore heads the next day but that didn't stop us from getting up and heading out again. I bought this top in Zara (shock) the day before, while in London and I had to wear it (because I had nothing else). I wore it with skinny jeans and boots. I can't wait to wear it in the summer with high waisted denim shorts. I wore the same shoes all weekend. One of my favourite pairs of boots I have from Mango. I got them on sale last year while on holidays in menorca.
On the last day I attempted at tying up my hair. My hair has been short for about a year now so I haven't been able to do so. I'm sure you can tell from my smile, that i'm glad to finally have my hair off my face again (thanks to 100's of hair pins!!).
Overall we had the best weekend. I realised I need to start going on more city breaks, there's so many places I have my eye on.
I'll definitely be going back to London for the amazing restaurants and cute cafes, not to mention some window shopping on Sloane Street.
Anyway thank you so much for reading this post, and don't forget to check out my YouTube channel, there's at least one NEW VLOG a week (usually Tuesday)!!
