The Year of the Rooster

This past Saturday was the Chinese New Year so of course it would be rude to not go out and celebrate, any excuse.

To be honest, before this year I didn't know a lot about the Chinese new year but this year i'm a little bit more educated. Basically the Chinese New Year is a 12 year cycle and this year is the year of the rooster, which just so happens to be my year (anyone born in 1993). Apparently though if it's your year, its not going to be a good year, I really hope this is incorrect..i'm really superstitious as you can see.

Anyway if it's your year you're supposed to wear red underwear, so I did my own variation -

These trousers are actually the ones I wore from the two piece on New Years Eve. Like I said I just love to mix and match with co-ord sets, they're so versatile.

I ended up spending the night in Sam's on Dawson Street with my bestie Saoirse and boyfriend Evan. I don't go out too often in Dublin, mainly because I work weekends but when I do go out I absolutely love it. Dublin has amazing nightlife, I really need to make an effort to go out and try new places.
